We’ve never done a review before so where do I start? The price! I’m not new to 3D printing. I’ve been doing it for years at work, but I finally bought one for home use to spice up my scratch built game boards. I have to say the concept of spending $7 on a door in a little spicey for my taste and Corvus Games have the price set exactly right. This set is ~$20 and comes with plenty of stuff to get your game up to the next level. I can’t wait to seem more of their sets come out like this. Bundling a whole set together is a great way to bring up the value of buying STL files.
Favorite Models in the set?
Those walkways. I really only bought the set for the walkways, everything else is just gravy on top.
I almost didn’t grab this set because at the time of writing it was hard to tell if they walk ways were included. Absolutely love how little material they use, and the fact they don’t need any supports. My printer spent days pumping these little pathways out to add to my board. Only thing they are missing is a 3 square long one with a gap to be able to place guys under the walkway, but with some file editing that’s easy enough to create.
Vats Big vat of whatever you want to put in it
Bonus prints
The tanks and vats and pipes! There is so much value here. The vats print great and the pipes on them don’t have any issues without support where the curve over into the vat. The side details are great without adding a bunch of details that will take forever to paint. The tanks print really well and do an amazing job of building up without supports. The only thing I’ve found which doesn’t come out exactly like the 3d model is the Thermic Vents which I love anyway.
The vent rings don’t have anything to work from as it prints , but by the time the model reaches the top of the circle it manages to come out round and clean. No idea how much effort it takes to make a design work that way, but hats off.
